I fear creating situations about which I know nothing, or very little. I am afraid to give a character a certain career because it is something I don't understand. I wonder if simple research is good enough to create people and scenes. Will what I say (after doing research) be good enough so that someone in that situation or with that particular job say, "Yes! You have hit the nail on the head!" I think fear blocks my creative flow. I fear creating situations about which I know nothing, or very little. When it comes to writing what holds me back is my lack of faith in myself to say something that is what other's would want to read. I haven't the command of the language well enough or the ability to put the words together like say you do.
