Ah, but the work isn’t going so well today. Distractions. Buzzy little bees. Nagging guilt from eating Nachos Bell Grande on the run yesterday. Looming deadlines. So! I’m headed for the torture cell they call a gym. You see, Mr. G. presented me with a month-to-month gym membership as one of my Mother’s Day gifts. Doctor’s orders. Every day I make excuses not to go. But yesterday, something magical happened on the treadmill. Maybe I was under the influence of those mega endorphins, but fresh blood supply to the brain cells can’t hurt. Either way, I’ve discovered another quiet center from which to write—but the treadmill? Who knew?

I’ll be back to post some awesome writing links and interviews! Meanwhile, get those endorphins going!

    Hi Vicki,
    Praise for Mr.G and his gift of a gym membership!My Mr.G had given the same gift last year to me when we had the funds and I had the time,etc to go to the gym.That treadmill was an awesome thing for me as I felt so alive,so well and so creative while walking on it.Seems those endorphins really help with so amny things!I am hoping to get back to the treadmill soon(we have one at home now)once my atrial fibrillation is back under control.I cannot say enough good things about walking and it’s beneficial effects!!!

    Writing on the tredmill? That can’t be possible…lol

    Some of us at work have taken to walking around the building on our 15 minute breaks, which is good (we have to watch for the traffic though). Twice around the building is 1 kilometer and we can usually get around 2 1/2 times so far. We are aiming to work our way up to 3 times around each break - that way we’d be doing 3 kilometers a day.

    Sharon, yes, but I’m taking this thing real slow. Since returning from the gym, I’ve had a headache that won’t quit, and numerous aches and pains I don’t care to elaborate on. Thanks for visiting again! I’m thanking God that your atrial fib is under control–yay!

    Shelley, the writing on the treadmill is strictly in my head…lol. Think I over-did the walking today, though. Thanks for the note!
