“Do not ask the Lord to guide your footsteps if you are not willing to move your feet.” ~ author unknown
“Dreaming about a thing in order to do it properly is right; but dreaming about it when we should be doing it is wrong.” ~ Oswald Chambers
“Even a calling received on a mountaintop must be lived in the valley. Living your divine callings requires getting to work and figuring out how to bring them to life in your everyday world.” ~ Kevin Brennfleck
Hmmm…how do these quotes hit you?
Do you struggle to live your calling?
Ponderables:
* What is your primary calling?
* What are your secondary callings?
* What undergirds your ability to live it out?
……. a. Self-effort?
……. b. Grace?

Thank you for your thought provoking blog messages. I love the quotes in this blog listing.
Do I struggle to live my calling?
Sure do.
Figuring out what exactly God wants me to do and figuring out when to fit it in to everything else that seems so necessary and equally important to do that I think is God’s calling on my life.
One of my biggest struggles: finding the time. Yes, I know if it is what God wants me to do the time will come up, but I seem not know how at the present moment to go about finding that time with everything else seeming equally important.
How do I let go of those equally important things and know which ones to let go? These thoughts are pondered on my mind daily. Since I see myself not doing some of the other things God has gifted and given me abilities to do I sense I am missing my calling in those areas. Figuring this all out stiffles my action, but by God’s grace I keep doing what I can. Thank you.

They hit pretty close to the heart. Two opposing words come to mind for me also, diligence and slothfulness.
Thanks for the tender reminders here on your blog, Victoria.
