A couple weekend nuggets from Marlene Bagnull, author of Write His Answer. I love this book!
“Although we are not all novelists, poets, or devotional writers, and few of us will ever write a bestseller, we do have the responsibility to use our own special gift to its fullest potential.”
“Our work as writers cannot be ruled by the ups and downs of our feelings. Beyond every mountain is another valley. Some days our writing efforts seem futile. Like the early settlers who walked beside their wagons all the way to the west coast, we may wonder if we’ll ever get there. But God encourages us to ’stand firm’ on legs that are often shaky and ‘mark out a straight, smooth path’ for our feet (Heb.12:12-13).

Wonderful quote, Vicki. Thanks for the reminder. I should print this one out and staple it to my forehead!

Dearest Victoria,
You have done it again…sent along encouragement, which of course is a gifting in your life. Thank you for your faithful words that give me the strength to begin typing once again.
I must admit I get disappointed with myself for needing such regular encouragement. By now shouldn’t I be stronger on my own? But then, that would be pride, wouldn’t it? Walking alone is never what God intended for us. We need Him, and we need each other.
So, my thanks to you once again, and even more thanks to our Father Who knows what we need and how to get “it” to us.
I am absolutely nothing without Him.
With His love,
Dara

Hi Victoria, I am new to all of this and have recently started a blog called A Nurse’s Walk. I graduated from nursing school on August 1st and started my blog, but I do not seem to have any traffic. I am really interested in writing more about my nursing experience and my walk with the Lord, but I do not know how to get noticed. Any pointers will be most appreciated. Thank you,
God Bless,
Angel

Hal, I think my previous comment disappeared…always glad to see you stop by. I should staple this to my own forehead, what are you talking about?:-)
Dara, rejoicing with you that you’ve found strength to start typing again. Keep it up. Hope something here will fan the flame every now and then. Thanks for your kind words and your encouragement to me as well.
AJsMom, Thank you kindly for your visit. Appreciate hearing from you and learning a bit about your life. I think by now you’ve gotten my email?…hope so. Congrats to you on your recent graduation! That’s wonderful!

Hey Vicki.
I just meant I really need to remember not to be ruled by the ups and downs of my emotions when it comes to this gift He’s given me.
